I’ve got the music in me!

People in my fitness classes are forever commenting on my choice of music.  I know this because I’ve been asked to burn countless CDs of my choicest, most spintastic tunes.  I was just perusing my iPod.  Turns out I have over 4,000 remixed songs.  Seems I’m just a little anal retentive when it comes to mixing and scratching.

If you’re going to have a rockin’ circuit or spinning class, you’ve got to have rockin’ tunes.  At least that’s my theory.  Sometimes I’ll have upwards of 50-60 people in any given class I teach.  And, boy, do they LOVE their anthems.  If there’s something they can sing along too (like “Copacabana” or “I Love Rock-N-Roll”), all the better.  But those are just catchy little ditties.

The songs that absolutely kick everyone’s respective asses are typically from England.  It’s true.  If you want a song with a relentless, driving, thumping, pulse-shattering, ear-splitting, heart-pounding, seizure-inducing beat – always choose EuroTrash.  The lyrics don’t matter … the singer doesn’t matter … all that matters is whipping my class in to an aerobic frenzy.  Only songs that come from across the pond get that done.

Think I’m kidding?  Listen to this tune.  It’s a personal favorite.  And whenever I play it, my class will do whatever I want.  I’m like the Pied Piper of Push-Ups when this song is cranked through the speakers.  Plus, the video is kinda fun to watch.

So if you ever have the opportunity to see me in action – uh, once my back feels better – then come join me.  Soon I’ll be back in action … “backtion” for short.   I promise to have the best music this side of 1987.  Best of all, you won’t even know what hit you.
