Of course, if you know anything about me … you know I’m obsessed with The B-52s.  I love the hair, the outfits, the bizarre — albeit gorgeous — harmonies.  Heck, Fred’s weird Sprechgesang has even started to grow on me over the years.  Heck, even FRED has started to grow on me. 

Several people sent me a link to this video where the country duo Sugarland performed a cover of “Love Shack”.  I listened to it … and nodded in accordance.  Then, of course, The B’s  were introduced in the middle of the song.  Suddenly, the county-fried version went out the window and this weird New Wave/Rockabilly version kicked in.
