What a delight it was to work with the world’s most beloved appliance … William “The Refrigerator” Perry! Last year on Valentine’s Day (oddly enough), “The Fridge” briefly stopped by my ad agency for a promotional shoot. Since most of my co-workers were still in diapers in 1985, only a handful of people knew who the ‘Fridge was. Don’t get me wrong though … I still had to fight off plenty of autograph hounds and paparazzi WITHIN the walls of the agency. In the span of only twenty minutes, “The Fridge” read his lines … politely chatted with the crew … signed autographs … and posed for pictures. And faster than you could say SUPERBOWL SHUFFLE, “The Fridge” was off to another public appearance. Too bad I couldn’t understand a single thing the man said, but at least he was pleasant. Inarticulate and nice, that’s how I like ‘em. Come to think of it … I should really update my resumé to include “WORKS WELL WITH SPORTS CELEBS” under special skills.
